User instructions
Understanding safety instructions
The safety instructions in these installation and
operating instructions have a uniform structure and
are marked with a symbol on the left side of the
instruction. A signal word above the text indicates
the hazard level. If several hazard levels exist, the
highest level safety instruction is always used.
CAUTION
Type and origin of the hazard.
Direct or possible danger of minor/signifi-
cant injury.
Possible consequences of the hazard!
► Measures to avoid the hazard.

In addition to the safety instructions, the following
symbols are used:
The word NOTE indicates a direct or possible
risk of property damage.
A TIP symbol indicates practical and useful
tips for handling the wind protection insert.
Before each installation step, any additional
tools and materials required for the task are
listed.

Safety instructions
Read all instructions listed in this section for
installation and maintenance of the wind pro-
tection insert. Also note the safety instructions that
precede the described handling instructions.
Intended use
When using inVENTer
exposed to the wind, there may be significant wind
noise. The wind protection insert is inserted in the
wall sleeve of the ventilation unit and prevents wind-
induced noise.
Improper use
Any use that is not mentioned in the intended use
section, is considered to be improper.
In particular, the wind protection insert is not suitable
for use in areas containing aggressive and corrosive
gases, extreme dust levels and/or high levels of
lubricating grease.
Qualified personnel
The wind protection insert may only be installed in
conjunction with this documentation.
Installation may be performed by the user of the
system.
Installation and/or cleaning of the wind protection
insert may not be carried out by children and/or
persons who are not fully capable of doing so due
to their physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
inexperience or lack of knowledge.
