Also, use more fuel mixed with air to facilitate starting. When you press the
fuel pump, you will pump the fuel directly from the carburetor into the
combustion chamber.
Note: not all models have fuel pumps.
 Move the choke lever to CHOKE position (only for certain models)

Pull back the brake lever and hold it by the handle.

Release the clutch lever. This
will prevent the mower from
moving forward when you apply the
starter.
