• Operation in strong electromagnetic fields, such as next to a mobile phone, can lead to malfunction. Keep a minimum distance of
3.3 m from such devices when using this device.
• The minimum measurement time until the beep must be maintained without exception.
• Consider that different measurement locations may require continued measuring even after the beep, see section «Measuring
methods / Normal body temperature».

4. Use
• Disinfect the tip before each use!
• Press and hold the ON/OFF button for 3 seconds.
• When the unit is switched on, a beep sounds and all segments are briefly displayed. The device performs a self-test.
• The last measured temperature (M) appears briefly on the display, then 36,5 °C.
• If you press the ON/OFF button only briefly when switching on, the last measured temperature (M) will not appear.
• L remains on the display and °C flashes. If the room temperature is higher than 32 ˚C, the room temperature would be displayed
instead of L ˚C. The device is now ready for use.
• If the temperature remains below 32 °C, °C flashes for another 16 seconds, then the alarm signal sounds.
• The actually measured maximum temperature is permanently shown during the measurement and °C flashes.
• If the maximum temperature remains stable, °C stops flashing and an alarm will sound:
a) Normal alarm (beep ... beep ... beep ...), body temperature below 37.8 °C
b) Fever alarm (beep piep beep ... beep beep beep ...), body temperature 37.8 °C or above
• For axillary measurements, the recommended measuring time has to be observed despite the beep tone.
• Remove the thermometer carefully. Press the ON/OFF button to switch off the instrument. The instrument will turn off automati-
cally after approx. 9 minutes.
4.1 Measuring methods / Normal body temperature
In the mouth (oral) / 35.5 - 37.5 °C
• Do not eat or drink anything hot or cold 10 minutes before the measurement. The mouth should remain closed up to 2 minutes befo-
re starting a reading.
Position the thermometer in one of the two pockets under the tongue, to the left or right of the root of the tongue. The measuring
sensor (see point D in the drawing) must be in good contact with the tissue. Close your mouth and breathe evenly through the nose to
prevent the measurement from being influenced by inhaled/ exhaled air.
Approx. measuring time: 20 seconds!
In the anus (rectal) / 36.6 - 38.0 °C
• Carefully insert the measuring sensor (see point D in the drawing) 2 to 3 cm into the anal aperture.
You may consider using a lubricant. If you are unsure of this measurement method, you should consult a professional for
guidance/training.
Approx. measuring time: 10 seconds!
In the armpit (axillary) / 34.7 - 37.3 °C
• To receive more reliable results, we recommend measuring temperature orally or rectally. A minimum measurement time of 5 minutes
is recommended regardless of the beep sound for axillary measurement.
5. Cleaning and disinfecting
• For disinfection in home use environment, use a 70% Isopropyl alcohol swab or a cotton tissue moistened with 70% Isopropyl alco-
hol to wipe surface pollutants off the thermometer probe. Always start wiping from the end of the thermometer probe (approx. at
the middle of the thermometer) towards the thermometer tip.
• For professional use: You may apply probe covers (available as accessory). Contact your retailer for further details concerning suit-
able disinfectants for your thermometer model.
