Keep handles and grips dry, clean and free
from oil and grease. Slipper handles and grips
do not permit safe operation and control over
the power tools in unexpected situations.
Service
Only have the power tool repaired by qualified
specialists using OEM spare parts. This ensures
that there is no detriment to the safety of the
device.
Never service damaged battery packs. Battery
packs may only be serviced by the manufac-
turer or authorised service centres.
Safety notices for all applications
This power tool is intended to be used as a
polisher. Observe all safety notices, instruc-
tions, drawings and data included with the tool.
Failure to observe the following instructions
may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious
injuries.
This power tool is not suitable for grinding,
sanding, using wire brushes and cutting. Uses
the power tool is not intended for can result in
hazards and injuries
Do not use accessories not intended and
recommended by the manufacturer specifically
for this power tool. Being able to attach an ac-
cessory to your power tool does not guarantee
safe use.
The permissible speed of the attachment must
be at least as fast as the maximum speed
specified on the power tool. Accessories turn-
ing faster than permitted can break and fly
about.
Outside diameters and the thickness of the at-
tachment must match the sizes of your power
tool. Using incorrect attachment sizes cannot
be shielded or controlled adequately.
Wear personal protective equipment. Depend-
ing on the application, wear a full face shield,
eye protection or safety goggles. Where ap-
propriate, wear a dust mask, hearing protec-
tion, safety gloves or a special apron to protect
you from small shavings and material particles.
Protect your eyes from flying debris produced
by various applications. Dust- or respiratory
masks must filter the dust produced during
use. Exposure to loud noise for extended peri-
ods can result in hearing loss.

Ensure others keep a safe distance from your
work area. Any person entering the work area
must wear personal protective equipment.
Fragments of the work piece or a broken at-
tachments can fly about and also cause injuries
outside the immediate work area.
Always hold the tool by the insulated grips
when carrying out work which where the at-
tachment can strike hidden electric lines or the
tool's power cable. Contact with a live wire can
also electrify metallic parts of the tool in turn
causing an electric shock.
Keep the power cable away from rotating at-
tachments. If you lose control over the tool, the
power cable could be cut or catch, pulling your
hand or arm into the turning attachment.
Never set down the power tool until the at-
tachment has come to a complete stop. The
turning attachment can come into contact with
the surface it is set down on, causing you to
lose control over the power tool.
Do not activate the power tool whilst carrying
it. Clothing can be accidentally caught in the
turning attachment and the attachment drill
into your body.
Routinely clean the vents on your power tool.
The motor fan sucks dust into the housing,
causing electric shock if a lot of metal dust col-
lects inside it.
Do not use the power tool near flammable
materials. Sparks can ignite these materials.
Do not use attachments which require liquid
coolant. Using water or other liquid coolants
can result in electric shock.
Additional safety notices for all ap-
plications
Kickback is a sudden response due to a snagged
or jammed polishing disc. Snagging and jamming
causes the rotating attachments to come to a
sudden stop. This will cause an out of control
power tool to quicker turn in the opposite direc-
tion of the attachment at the jam.
If e.g. a polishing disc snags or jams in the work
piece, the edge of the abrasive disc in the work
piece can catch and the polishing disc break or
kick back.
The polishing disc will then move towards or
away from the operator, depending on the direc-
tion the disc is turning in at the jam. This can also
cause the polishing disc to break.
