Keep handles and grips dry, clean and free
from oil and grease. Slipper handles and grips
do not permit safe operation and control over
the power tools in unexpected situations.
Use and care of the cordless tool
Only charge the battery packs with chargers
recommended by the manufacturer. Using a
charger for a specific type of battery for a dif-
ferent battery poses a fire hazard.
Only use the intended battery packs with the
power tools. Using other batteries may result in
injuries and/or fires.
Keep the battery pack away from paper clips,
coins, keys, nails, screw or other small metal
objects which could bridge the contacts when
the battery pack is not in use. A short-circuit
between the battery contacts can cause burns
or a fire.
Incorrect use may cause fluid to leak from the
battery pack. Avoid any contact with this fluid.
In the event of accidental contact, rinse with
water. If this fluid comes into contact with your
eyes, also consult a physician. Any battery fluid
leaking can cause skin irritations or burns.
Do not use damaged or modified battery packs.
Damaged or modified battery packs can behave
unpredictably and result in fire, explosion and
injuries.
Do not expose battery packs to fire or high
temperatures. Fire or temperatures over 40 °C
can cause an explosion.
Observe all charging instructions and never
charge the battery pack or the cordless tool
outside the temperature range specified in
the operating instructions. Incorrect charging
or charging outside the approved tempera-
ture range can destroy the battery pack and
increase the risk of fire.
Service
Only have the power tool repaired by qualified
specialists using OEM spare parts. This ensures
that there is no detriment to the safety of the
device.
Never service damaged battery packs. Battery
packs may only be serviced by the manufac-
turer or authorised service centres.
Polisher safety notices
Do not use accessories not intended and
recommended by the manufacturer specifically
for this power tool. Being able to attach the ac-
cessory to your power tool does not guarantee
safe use.
Do not allow loose parts of the polishing bon-
net, particularly cords.
Store away or trim the cords. Loose cords
which turn along can catch your fingers or
become tangled in the work piece.
Safe handling of the battery pack
Keep the battery pack out of the reach of
children. Children do not recognise the hazards
associated with this product!
Do not expose the battery pack to rain or wet
conditions. Avoid spilling or dripping water or
other liquids on it.
Chargers may interfere with the operation of
active electronic implants, e.g. pacemakers,
thus pose a personal hazard.
Note the correct polarity of the charging
plug when charging. Risk of short-circuits or
explosion if connected incorrectly or reversed
polarity.
Do not charge the battery pack unattended.
Stop charging immediately if the battery pack
becomes very hot whilst charging. If the bat-
tery pack becomes very hot or expands, the
battery pack is defective and must not be used
again. Allow the battery pack to cool down and
replace the battery pack.
Remove the battery pack from the product if it
will not be used for extended periods.
Regularly check the charge of the battery pack
when stored for extended periods.
