Intended use
Sensors of the product series Microbox are
suitable for object detection = standard sensor
and fill level detection= SmartLEVEL sensor.
1) active area 2) yellow indication -> switching state

Flawless function in accordance with the
specification as in the technical data is ensured
only when using original BALLUFF accessories,
and use of any other components will void the
warranty.
Modifications to the sensor or non-approved use
are not permitted and will result in loss of
warranty and void any liability claims against the
manufacturer.
Safety instruction
These sensors must not be used in
application in which the safety of persons
is dependent on the function of the device
(not a safety component acc. to EU
Machinery Directive).
This mounting guide is intended for qualified
persons only. Read this guide carefully before
installing or commissioning this device.
The operator is responsible for ensuring that
local safety regulations are observed. In
particular, the operator must take measures to
ensure that a defect in the device will not result
in hazards to persons or equipment.

Wiring
Don't lay the connection cable direct behind the
sensor ring-shaped. Instead cut the connection
cable to the needed length.
Adjustment
Adjustment will be don e w ith the wh ite
tea chcable (DI-Inpu t).
Adjustment Objectdetec tion
Put the object in the desired switching range.
Observe the reductionfactor!
Adjustment: Connect input DI for 2 till 7 seconds
to L+. After disconnecting switching set point is
stored -> 3 x slow blinking yellow LED
Adjustment fill level detect io n
SmartLEVEL sensors have already a factory
adjustment, which is sufficient for the most
standard application without any adjustment.
Exceptional case adjustment: Fill level should be
approximately 50% from the active area.
Adjustment: Connect input DI for 2 till 7 seconds
to L+. After disconnecting switching set point is
stored -> 3 x slow blinking yellow LED
