Mounting
DANGER! Explosion due to water ingress!
Non-observance will result in fatal or severe injuries.
Ceiling mounting only permissible indoors or outdoors with sufficient
weather protection.
Only mount the device on an even surface to prevent it from twisting.


The unit offers two mounting rails for wall or ceiling mounting.

For ceiling mounting under solid walls made of concrete, stone or wood, a
suspension of > 8 cm must be provided.

For mounting information such as the position of the mounting holes and the
weight of the device, refer to the dimensional drawings and the technical data in
the appendix.

Note the weight depending on the type and the built-in components.

Non-observance will result in fatal or severe injuries.
 Opening is only permitted in a de-energized state or if there is no explosive
atmosphere is present.

Opening and closing of the Ex nR enclosure part

The tightness of the Ex nR housing part is decisive for the explosion protection of
the Ex nR control panels. The tightness was tested by R. STAHL at the factory
before delivery.

It is not permitted to open the Ex nR housing section before commissioning.

Open and close the Ex nR enclosure compartment only in exceptional cases by
specially trained personnel.

Open the cover carefully. Make sure that the lid is not damaged. The lid is
secured against falling down on the right short side of the terminal compartment.
The lid folds to the right.

Carefully check the seals of the lid and the device before closing the device.
Observe the alignment of the lid.

Do not operate the device if it is damaged. Contact R. STAHL.
Opening and closing of the Ex ec enclosure part / connection chamber

The Ex ec housing part is intended for connecting the power supply or wired
signal transmission.

Loosen the 4 screws with a suitable screwdriver.
