Device-specific safety instructions
• The cutting or modification of the power cable is
not permitted and will void the guarantee!
• Extension cables must not be used.
• Disconnect the mains plug before all work on the
appliance.
• Do not install and switch on the appliance if there
are people or animals in the medium being
pumped, or they are in contact with it.
• Repairs must be carried out only by a qualified
electrician. If repairs are carried out incorrectly,
there is a danger of liquid penetrating into the
electrical components of the appliance.
• Retrofitting or making any unauthorised changes
to the appliance, as well as the use of unap-
proved parts are prohibited.
• Deep well pumps are not suitable for sandy
water, as the sand damages the impellers and
seals, such damages are not covered by the war-
ranty. Under no circumstances should the pump
be placed near the bottom of the well; we recom-
mend a minimum distance of 50 cm to the bottom
of the well or to the filter opening of the well pipe.

removed or covered. Information on the device
that is no longer legible must be replaced imme-

Commissioning

Attach a sufficiently long rope to the suspension eyes
before first use.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the appli-
ance! Do not lift the pump with the cable or
pressure hose as these are not designed for
the tensile stress from the weight of the
pump.
Note: Use a sufficiently strong rope which is
resistant to water and to UV-radiation.
In the case of continuous use of the pump
with the rope, the condition of the rope must
be checked regularly as it can decay and
break over time.
Connect pressure pipe
For occasional use, use a suitable water hose.
The use of rigid pipes with a non-return valve is rec-
ommended for use at a fixed location. This prevents
return flow of the liquid when switching off.
(Threaded connection: ► Technical data – p. 21)
– Screw pressure line onto the pressure connec-
tion.
All threaded connections must be sealed with thread
sealing tape (e. g. Teflon® tape).
– When using a hose, screw a suitable hose
adapter onto the pressure connection.
– Push the hose firmly onto the hose adapter and
secure with a hose clamp.
Installation
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the appli-
ance! Do not place the device on the bot-
tom of the well but must be suspended in
the water at min. 1 m above the bottom.
Make sure that your well has sufficient sand
filtering.
The device is not suitable for sandy water.
The well must be cleansed in advance, if the
well is sandy in order to clean silting. The
warranty claim will be lapsed if the damage
is caused by silted water.
