Installation

The iCovir®+ must never be operated without an activated carbon filter, otherwise UVC
rays could escape.
Always place the air purifier on a stable, horizontal and level surface. Keep curtains, for
example, away from the air inlet and outlet.
1. Insert the mains plug of the connecting cable into the socket.
Switch on the device with the on/off switch on the bottom of the base. The UVC lamp
and the fan are immediately in operation! Make sure that blue light is coming out of the
light guide above the logo on the side of the device and air is flowing out of the outlet.
Note: The visible "blue" light at this point does not contain dangerous UVC radiation. It
signals trouble-free operation.
The iCovir®+ is designed for continuous operation.
2. Switch off the device with the switch or pull out the mains plug.
We recommend operation on a commercially available timer to automatically switch the
unit on and off at desired times (e.g. night sleep).
The device has a contact switch that immediately turns off the device when the
housing is removed.
