Installation

Always switch off the air purifier before maintenance. Unplug the power cord.
Never immerse the air purifier in water or other liquids. Do not use abrasives or aggressive
or flammable cleaning agents such as bleach or alcohol to clean the parts of the air cleaner.
UVC light is harmful to the retina. Never operate the heater without a housing.
The iCovir® Basic must never be operated without an activated carbon filter, otherwise
UVC rays can escape.
1. The UVC lamp must be installed before commissioning.
Place the iCovir® Basic upside down on a gentle surface. The three device feet serve as
locking screws. Turn this off. Now you can remove the device base from the housing.
Insert the UVC lamp into the lamp holder. The lamp must snap fully into the socket. The
device base and lamp can now be inserted into the housing. Screw the device feet back
onto the bolts until you feel them stop. Put the iCovir® Basic back on its feet.
2. Insert the mains plug of the connecting cable into the socket.
Switch on the device with the switch. The UVC lamp and the fan are in operation
immediately! Make sure that blue light emerges from the top of the device and air flows
out of the outlet.
Note: The visible "blue" light does not contain any dangerous UVC radiation. It signals
trouble-free operation.
The iCovir® is designed for continuous operation.
Switch off the device with the switch or pull out the mains plug.
We recommend using a commercially available timer to automatically switch the device
on and off at the desired times (e.g. night's sleep).
