How iCovir®+ works
The device cleans the air you breathe of infectious aerosols, viruses, bacteria, germs,
allergens etc. in closed rooms. The contaminated air is absorbed and, after cleaning by the
highly effective UVC light, is released back into the room, but without creating large air
vortices. Since the disinfection takes place in a closed system, the radiation is absolutely
harmless to humans and animals.
Therefore iCovir®+ is predestined for continuous use in households, business premises,
medical practices, waiting rooms, hotels, restaurants and other highly frequented rooms.
The new device generation iCovir realizes some innovative features:

A high percentage of Covid-19 diseases are attributed to aerosol infection. Aerosols are
already generated by normal breathing and cannot be prevented even by wearing masks.
iCovir®+ reduces the accumulation of infectious aerosols in the room air and thus prevents a
steadily increasing infection pressure. The decisive criteria here are the number of people
and their duration of stay in a room, rather than its size. The risk of infection from a
concentration of aerosols is higher the smaller the room. A complete disinfection of the
room air is basically not possible, but a significant reduction of germs is. An adult has an
average respiratory volume of 8 ltr./minute = 480 ltr./hour. In order to keep the room air as
free of germs and viruses as possible, the air should be cleaned once an hour. iCovir+ is thus
suitable for rooms up to approx. 80m³, in larger rooms up to 40 persons.
By its very nature, iCovir®+ cannot provide protection against direct wet contact, sneezing,
coughing, etc., as well as against smear infection. The usual hygiene rules should therefore
always be observed.
