Always switch off the air purifier before maintenance. Unplug the power cord.
Never immerse the air purifier in water or other liquids. Do not use abrasive cleaners or
aggressive or flammable cleaning agents, such as bleach or alcohol, to clean the parts of the
air purifier.
1. Clean
a. Clean the inside and outside of the air purifier with a soft, dry cloth.
b. The air outlet can also be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth.
c. The activated carbon filter can be washed out after intensive use (make sure to dry
completely after washing and before using).
2. Exchange activated carbon filter
UVC light is harmful to the retina. Never operate the device without the housing.
The iCovir®+ must never be operated without an activated carbon filter, otherwise
UVC rays can escape.
The activated carbon filter can be gently washed out several times. However, we
recommend replacing it after one year of intensive use.
The activated charcoal filter is inserted in the top of the device head. Place the iCovir®+
upside down on a gentle surface. The three device feet serve as locking screws. Unscrew
them. Now you can remove the base from the housing (you can use the cable as a
"gripping aid" for this purpose. It is secured accordingly). Pull the filter out of the head by
hand and insert a new filter accordingly. The base can now be reinserted into the
housing together with the lamp. Turn the unit feet back onto the bolts, hand-tight until a
noticeable stop is felt. Place the iCovir®+ back on its feet.
