3. Exchange UVC-lamp
We recommend replacing the UVC lamp after intensive use after one year, as the
radiation output decreases.
a. Place the iCovir®+ upside down on a gentle surface. The three device feet serve as
locking screws. Unscrew them. Now you can carefully remove the base from the
housing while tilting it slightly. The supply line can be used as a "gripping aid". Please
pay attention to the guide recesses of the inner plate in order not to tilt.
b. Remove the cable tie with scissors. Grasp the glass bulb of the UVC lamp and pull it
out vertically upwards.
c. Insert the new lamp. This must be fully engaged in the lamp socket and remain
vertical. Fasten the lamp with the enclosed cable tie and cut off the protrusion flush.
d. The base can now be reinserted into the housing together with the lamp. Screw the
device feet back onto the bolts, hand-tight until a noticeable stop is felt. Place the
iCovir®+ back on its feet.
