2. ATTACHING THE CLIMBING HOLDS TO THE BASES
•
There are 4 climbing holds and 5 bases. The base without climbing hold should be placed at the
bottom of the tree to be used as foot holds.
•
Use the black bolt to attach the hold to the base. Use the included Allen wrench to tighten.
3. SETTING UP TREE CLIMBERS
•
Tip: Space the bases out or put them closer together depending on the height of user.
•
Have another person hold the base where you want it (Figure 1).
•
Insert the end of the strap on the outside of the bend in of the ratchet and feed through the slot in
the ratchet (Figure 2).
•
Pull the belt taut until the ratchet rests on the tree (Fig. 4). It is recommended to protect the tree bark
with a suitable underlay (e.g. felt, rubber, carpet -not included).
•
Tighten the ratchet until the belt is tight against the tree and the base no longer moves (Fig. 4).
•
WARNING! The tensioning element operator force on the ratchet lever must be 133 N (13 kg)
not exceed. Risk of crushing.
•
WARNING! The Tree Climbers straps may only be tensioned by hand.
•
Opening the ratchet: Pull the small safety lever inside the handle and carefully open the ratchet.
Flip the cocking lever completely flat.
