Charging
A full charge takes 1 hour and provides up to
45 minutes of cordless shaving time. This may
vary depending on your beard growth and
ambient temperature.
When the shaver is connected to an electrical
outlet, it may take some minutes until the
display illuminates.
Connect the appliance to an electrical outlet by
snapping the power supply into the power
socket of the shaver, the charging stand or the
cleaning station. For models with cleaning
station see separate use instructions for
further details.
For first-time charge, charge continuously for
at least 1 hour. The actual charge status is
shown on the display.

Low charge / cordless use
A. Low charge indicator
Battery is in low charge, i.e. 5 minutes shaving
time are left. Please connect your shaver to
the mains for charging.
B. Cordless use indicator
This appliance can only be operated cordless.
Disconnect it from the mains before turning it
on.
Travel lock
The shaver can be locked to avoid unintended
starting of the motor (e.g. for storing in a
suitcase).
Push the on / off button for 3 seconds to lock
/ unlock the shaver. This is confirmed by a
beep sound and the lock icon appearing /
disappearing on the display.

Foil replacement
To maintain 100% shaving performance,
replace the Foil & Cutter cassette, when the
foil replacement indicator lights up.
Remove the Foil & Cutter cassette by lifting it
from the back to the front as shown in the
pictures.
Replace it with the new Foil & Cutter cassette
(53B). Attach it by pushing it down until it clicks
into place (direction doesn't matter).
Press the on / off button for 9 seconds to
reset the counter. After 9 seconds the reset is
complete. The travel lock indicator and the foil
replacement indicator have disappeared.

Cleaning station
The water drops appear in the display, when
your shaver should be cleaned in the cleaning
station. This function is only activated with
cleaning station usage.

use instructions for cleaning station.
Usage
Make sure that the shaver is disconnected
from the power supply. Push the on / off
button to operate the shaver.
Tips for a perfect shave
In case of longer beard, first pre-cut with a
trimmer.
1. Position the shaver head at 90° angle to
your skin with slight pressure, so all
shaving elements are in contact with the
skin. Do not press too hard.
2. Stretch your skin slightly with your hand.
3. Shave against the direction of your beard
growth in straight back and forth
movements. Repeat strokes.
