Cu/Ms connecting sets are always to be fixed
with the REHAU fixing unit. When using stainless
steel connecting sets the fixing is not necessary,
but we recommend it for optical reasons (it
prevents movement of the pipe).
The following assembly steps are to be observed
(here using the example of a connecting bend
fitting RAUTITAN):
1. Put the shank length including the insertion
length of the Eurocone retainer onto the pipe
(see Fig. 1).
2. Cut the RAUTITAN radiator connecting bend
fitting into lengths at right angles with a
ribbed pipe cutter for stainless steel pipes or
suitable saw and deburr.
3. Push the heat and sound insulation onto the
RAUTITAN radiator connecting bend fitting
(not shown in the illustration).
4. Push the screw connection onto the
RAUTITAN radiator connecting bend fitting.
5. Expand the pipe ends once with the REHAU
expander head 15 x 1.0 QC (see Fig. 2).
6. Fully insert both RAUTITAN radiator connec-
ting bend fittings into the REHAU fixing unit
(see Fig. 3).
7. Push the RAUTITAN radiator connecting bend
fitting up to the stop in the Eurocone of the
ball valve block.
8. Screw on the union nuts by hand.
9. Align the RAUTITAN radiator connecting bend
fittings parallel to each other.
