1. DESCRIPTION
The 16-640-XX and 16-641-XX are flush mounting external units for flush mounting into exterior or interior walls and belongs to the range Access Control
Design. The flat cable with connectors, the bolt module and the adjustable lighting module are supplied with the flush mounting frame as a standard. The
frame has a flat finishing made of brushed and anodized aluminium. The dimensions of the flush mounting external unit depend on the number modules
to be flush mounted. In reference numbers 16-640-04 and 16-641-04, the '04' refers to a flush mounting frame for 4 modules. A product with reference
number with '641' is provided with a built-in letterbox and a slit for the mail.

2. INSTALLATION

Choice of the cabling
Niko recommends the following cables:
- interior cable:
- UTP cat. 5E (max. 100m)
- exterior cable / underground cable:
- UTP cat. 5E OUTDOOR
- ATCUG (armoured telephone cable): 4 x 2 x 0.8mm (This cable is less practical in use, but does guarantee covering longer distances thanks to the
larger wire section). In order to simplify installation, a transition piece from UTP to screw connection is available (16-679-01).

Installation
Make a hole with a min. depth of 110mm in the exterior or interior wall. Only the height of the hole depends on the number of modules (for a survey, see fig.
1 + table 1). Preferably install the camera at a height of ±165cm. The camera is usually mounted underneath the lighting module, but you can choose the
order of the modules yourself. If the external unit is not provided with a camera, preferably install the loudspeaker module at a height of ±145cm.
