1. DESCRIPTION
This Easywave 2-channel surface mounting receiver is part of the Niko RF
system (Radio Frequency), an installation technique that does not require
any wiring between the control points (push buttons) and the consumers
to be operated.
2. OPERATION AND USE
2.1. Range between Easywave transmitters and receivers
Appliances with remote control such as TV, video and audio sets are not
interfered by Easywave transmitters. The Easywave transmitters do not have
to be pointed towards the receiver optically. The range indoors is ±30m. In
open spaces, ranges up to 100m are covered. The ranges depend upon
the materials used in the building. You can use the RF repeater (05-535)
to expand the transmitter range.
You can use the diagnosis unit 05-370 to determine the RF signal strength
in a given environment. The appliance recognizes all 868,3Mhz signals.
The receiver quality of the transmitter signal or the strength of interference
is displayed by 9 LEDs. This way, you can determine whether the range of
the RF transmitter is sufficient.

2.2. Installation instructions and recommendations
NEVER install the receivers and/or transmitters:
- in a metal distribution box, housing or netting;
- in the immediate vicinity of large metal objects;
- on or near the floor.
Install the receivers in the immediate vicinity of the transmitters. The
presence of metal or moisture in the walls can negatively affect the
transmitter range.
2.3. Operating mode of the 2-channel surface receiver
The surface mounting receiver 05-335 is provided with 4 modes and can be
controlled from 32 control points. You can connect an impuls push button per
channel (see '3.4. Mounting and connecting the surface mounting receiver
(05-335)). The push button inputs comply with the set mode.
- 1-button push button mode
The 2 relays can be switched separately and are switched for as long
as you push the programmed push button (max. 30s).
- 1-button pulse mode (1s)
If you press the programmed push button, the relay contact (channel 1
or 2) is switched for 1s.
- 2-button on/off mode
Every relay can be switched separately:

After 90s, the relay closes automatically.
2.4. Mounting and connecting the surface mounting receiver
- First remove the cover of the surface mounting receiver.
- Preferably use signalisation or data cable, max. 3m for all connections.

Connections:

Connect the power voltage 12-24V AC/DC to terminals IN1 and IN2.
(You only have to take into account the polarity in case of the DC power
supply!)

Only the loads that operate at low voltage (SELV), can be switched by
means of this surface mounting receiver 05-335!

- In case of the 2-button mode for shutters/blinds, make the connections
as follows:

This mode only allows operation with a 12-24V DC power supply!
- You can connect N.O. push buttons to terminals CH1 and CH2 to directly
control relay 1 (channel 1) resp. relay 2 (channel 2) according to the set
operating mode.
- Program the necessary transmitters on the receiver (see '4. PROGRAM-
MING').
- Place the cover back on the surface mounting receiver.
- You can stick the surface mounting receiver to a surface using the sup-
plied double-sided adhesive tape. You can also screw fix the receiver.
Use the provided plugs and screws.
3. PROGRAMMING
3.1. Taking into use
After installing the transmitters and receivers, the transmitters have to be
programmed with the receivers. A receiver only functions if the address
of a transmitter has been programmed in the receiver.
Test the transmitter before mounting it!
3.2. Programming
You can max. program 32 control points per receiver. If this max. is reached,

the LED blinks quickly for 4s. Programming is not lost in the event of a
prolonged power failure.

Selecting the mode

Place the jumper in the correct mode before programming the receiver.
The setting of the jumper is saved in the memory. After programming,
OFF
you can modify the setting of the jumper if another mode is required for:
- the other channel
- another transmitter / other transmitters

- setting the operating mode of the external push buttons.
Set the operating mode by means of jumper J1:
OPEN or STOP (for 'closing direction')
CLOSE or STOP
(for 'opening direction')

You cannot assign different modes to a transmitter push button
for the 2 channels of the surface mounting receiver!
Programming
- Set the desired mode for the transmitter(s) you wish to program.
- Briefly (<1,6s) press programming key CH1 to activate the programming
mode for channel/relay 1 or press programming key CH2 to activate the
programming mode for channel/relay 2.
- The LED blinks.
- Program all transmitters that have to interwork with the receiver one by
one. Keep the button pressed until the LED lights long (4s.) in confirmation.
After 4s, the LED blinks at normal speed again.
- Briefly (< 1,6s.) press the programming key (CH1 or CH2) to exit program-
ming mode.
3.3. Adding transmitters
You can always program additional transmitters (max. 32 control points)
on a receiver. Therefore, repeat '4.2. Programming'.
3.4. Complete erase
- Press the receiver's programming key CH1 or CH2 >1,6s to activate the
reset mode for channel/relay 1 resp. channel/relay 2.

- The LED blinks quickly.
- Then again press the programming key CH1 or CH2 >1,6s to erase the
memory of channel/relay 1 resp. channel/relay 2.
- The LED lights long (4s.) in confirmation and then blinks quickly again.

- Briefly (<1,6s.) press the countersunk programming key to exit the reset
mode.
3.5. Erasing selectively
- Press the receiver's programming key CH1 or CH2 long (>1,6s) to activate
the reset mode for channel/relay 1 resp. channel/relay 2.
- The LED blinks quickly.
- Press 1 of the control keys of the control point you wish to erase.
- This transmitter is erased from the memory. The LED lights long (4s.) in
confirmation.
- Briefly (<1,6s) press the programming key to end the reset.
3.6. Reprogramming push button in other mode
If you wish to modify the mode of a push button, you first have to selec-
tively erase this button. Repeat the programming as described in '4.2.
Programming'.
4. TROUBLESHOOTING
If the system does not operate after programming, you can carry out a
number of additional checks.
- Check the transmitter operation by checking if the LED on the receiver
blinks. For interference at the transmitter, see it's user manual.
- Pick up the transmitter and walk towards the receiver.
- Press the programming key. The receiver is now in programming mode.
The LED blinks. If this is not the case, the receiver is defective.
- Reset and (re)program the receiver.
- Check for interference caused by changes in the system environment
(metal cabinets, walls or furniture moved....) Restore the original condition,
if possible.
- If the system works when holding the transmitter in the hand but not
when placing it on the wall, this may indicate the presence of moist or
metal in the wall. In this case, move the transmitter.
- If the system works at reduced distance: the transmitter has been placed
outside the transmitter range or there is an interference problem. In this
case, place the transmitter closer to the receiver or outside the interference
reach. You can also use the repeater 05-535 to increase the max. range
or to get round the interference.
The system automatically switches on and off:
- The system automatically switches on: This is only possible if a foreign
transmitter was programmed in the receiver within the receiver range.
Erase the receiver (selectively or completely) and reprogram the addresses
(see '4.2. Programming').
- The system automatically switches off: this situation can be similar to
the situation described above or be the result of brief current inter-
ruptions.
- Check the operation of the repeaters in the installation. It is possible that
the receiver both reacts to the direct signal from the transmitter as to
the signal of the repeater.
