START
BARBECUING.
The BarrelQ is a griller and a chiller.
It is a barbecue, a fire pit, design
furniture, an outside kitchen and
side table all in one... And useful
in using it as well. It is totally
foolproof, but nevertheless we will
gladly explain to you how it works.
If everything is as it should be,
you will have received:
The BarrelQ (e)
Lid (b) Clamp (a)
Basket (c) Grid (d)
Is something missing? Send us an e-mail:
info@barrelq.com
Start barbecuing.
Before use, take the lid off the barrel. Take
the grid of the basket and fill the basket
with briquettes or coals and then light it up!
If you want to prevent fire creation stress
(and who doesn't want that?) then use a
briquettes accelerator. The second best
invention ever (after the BarrelQ).
Once it is all glowing nicely: ready to go.
Bon appétit!

PATIENCE
Using the BarrelQ is relaxed. Therefore:
slow down. Place your charcoal or
briquettes well in time before the
dinner in the basket. Give them time.
And only put the meat on the grid once
the coals are no longer at their hottest.
The meat should cook slowly. We've
got time, remember? Suggestion: make
different heat zones so you can move
the meat towards less hot zones.
USEFUL
Make sure you have a pair of (work)
gloves around during the BBQ. If for
whatever reason you might have to
move the grid, you are better off doing
that with gloves on. But you already
knew that, right?
TRANSPORT
Don't tell anyone, but the BarrelQ is a
barrel. A new barrel, so no weird things
will have been inside it, but because of
transport it is possible for scratches to
be on the barrel. We do our best, but
we cannot fully prevent this.
GRID
To keep the grid nice, we suggest
smearing a bit of oil on it before the
barbecue. Sunflower or olive oil.
Whatever you've got. Then the meat
will not stick to the grid so much.
EMPTYING
After a good barbecue session there
will be briquette remnants or remains
of whatever was put on fire in there at
the bottom of the barrel. Therefore, you
should make sure to turn the BarrelQ
around every once in a while and throw
out the waste. Watch out: quite some
dust will be released with that. Make
sure to do this at a smart location.
RUST
The upper ring of the barrel has the
tendency to rust a little bit. That is why
you should smear some oil on it (you
can find it in the kitchen), that makes a
difference. The bottom might also rust.
If you do not want a brown circle on
your terrace: place something below the
BarrelQ. By the way: the BarrelQ can
be left outside the entire winter. It is as
tough as nails.Or just order our cover.
