ENCODING / RECORDING MODE
MP3 ENCODING FROM CD / PHONO
The system enables CDs, cassettes or records to be encoded in MP3 format on
storage media (USB sticks) via the USB port.
CD ENCODING
Encoding a title
1. Select a title to be encoded and recorded and start playback.
2. While the title is playing, press the RECORD button (9/38) twice.
3. "REC" is shown in the LCD DISPLAY (18) and then "USB" flashes in the
display. This means that the encoding process will now be carried out.
4. Press the STOP button (32) to end the recording.
Encoding a disc
1. Start normal playback of the CD to be encoded and recorded.
2. While the title is playing, press the RECORD button (9/38) twice.
3. When the reading process is complete, press the RECORD button (9/38)
twice.
4. "REC" is shown in the LCD DISPLAY (18) and then "USB" flashes in the
display. This means that the encoding process will now be carried out.
5. When the encoding is complete, playback will stop automatically.
NOTE CD ENCODING:

The recording speed is 1: 1 and corresponds to the playing time of the CD
track.

The system creates a "RECORD" folder in which the encoded tracks are
saved.

The recording format is preset to an MP3 bit rate of 128 kbps and a
sampling rate of 44.1 kHz.

Song titles are not recorded during encoding mode.

To interrupt the recording, press the RECORD button (9/38) again during
the process.

The recording is only completed when a complete title has been encoded.
If you cancel the encoding process before it is finished, no title will be
recorded and will not be saved on the USB storage medium (USB stick).
COPY AN MP3 / WMA FILE
1. If you have inserted an MP3 / WMA disc instead of a normal CD, press the
RECORD button (9/38) twice to copy the tracks to the USB storage medium.
2. The procedure corresponds to that for the CD encoding described above.
3. Please note that the system only switches to copy mode when the MP3 /
WMA file is being read.
