ASQ control (9 levels)

1. Hold [SQ] key, until LCD displays AQ, the ASQ function is turned on. The LCD will
display "A.X", X stands for the ASQ level.
A.1 lowest ASQ level

2. Shortly press microphone [UP] or [DN] to change ASQ level
3. Hold microphone [UP] or [DN] to change the ASQ level fast fast.
4. Shortly press [SQ] or wait for 3 seconds to store and exit.
5. To turn off the ASQ function press and hold the [SQ] key until the "AQ" marker in the
display disappears.
Note: Higher ASQ level require a stronger signal to open the speaker and hear the
calling.

4.6 Modulation Type AM/FM

1. Shortly press [A/F] key to switch between AM /FM mode.
2. The LCD displays the selected mode.

Scan function

1. Hold [A/F] to start scan function, "SC" flashes in the LCD.
2. Press microphone [UP] or [DN] to change scan direction during scan.
3. Press the [PTT] key or hold [A/F] to exit the scan function.

4.8 VOX free-hands function

1. Shortly press [VOX] key to activate the VOX function.

4.9 VOX settings (sensitivity / delay time)

1. Long press [VOX] key, in the display
sensitivity (in 9 levels) with [UP] or [DN] on the microphone.
L.1 = low sensitivity, VOX reacts only to very loud voices
L.9 = high sensitivity, VOX reacts already to quite voices/sounds
2. Press [VOX] again to set the VOX delay time in 9 levels.
The VOX delay time determines the time after which the automatic VOX transmission
turns off without any sound being detected.
t.1 = short delay time, the automatic transmission cuts off quickly.
t.9 = high delay time, the transmission cuts off after about 4.5 seconds.
3. Long press [VOX] again to save all changes.

Emergency Channel

1. Shortly press [EMG] key to choose CH9, the channel number flashes.
2. Shortly press [EMG] key again to choose CH19, the channel number flashes.
3. Shortly press [EMG] key third time to return to last normal channel.

4.11 RF Gain control

1. Long press [EMG] key, LCD displays R and the present RF gain level flashes.
2. Shortly press microphone [UP] or [DN] to change the level of attenuation.
3. Long press [EMG] key to exit RF gain level control.
Note: When RFG function is on, the LCD displays "RFG", if RFG level 6 is selected it
means the attenuation is 6 dB
