161. Secure the cowling to the fuselage. Use a drill or tapered
reamer to start the opening for the exhaust.
162. Slowly enlarge the opening so the exhaust can be seen
from outside the cowl.
163. Insert a wire or hex wrench through the muffl er mounting
holes to scribe their location on the inside of the cowl.
164. Remove the cowling from the fuselage. Use a tapered
reamer to make holes to access the muffl er bolts.
 Make sure the holes are large enough to fit the
wrench required to tighten the muffler screws.
165. Remove the tape from the engine covering the carburetor
and muffl er ports. Fit the muffl er extension to the engine.
Make sure to use the muffl er gaskets supplied with the
engine and the bolts supplied with the extension.

166. Check the fi t of the muffl er to the engine. It may be
necessary to enlarge the opening to allow clearance
between the cowl and muffl er. Make the openings
large enough to allow clearance from engine vibrations
the. Remove the cowling while making these fi nal
adjustments.
167. Once the cowl has been trimmed for the muffl er and
needle valve it can be secured to the fuselage. Attach the
muffl er to complete the installation.
168. Slide spinner backplate and propeller in position. Use
a box wrench to tighten the propeller nut to prevent
damaging the nut.
 It may be necessary to enlarge the opening in the
spinner backplate and propeller to fit on the motor shaft.
 Always balance your propeller before
installing it on you motor or engine.
169. Secure the spinner cone to the backplate using two M3
x 15 sheet metal screws and a #1 Phillips screwdriver.
Make sure the openings in the spinner do not contact the
propeller during its installation.
 If necessary, trim the spinner to allow proper
clearance between the propeller and spinner cone.
 WINDOW INSTALLATION
170. Use canopy glue to glue the windows from the inside of
the fuselage. Use low-tack tape to hold the windows in
position until the glue fully cures.
