Intended use
The product is designed for surveillance and security purposes in crucial, unsupervised areas (e.g. office
spaces, intercom systems, gateways and parking garages). The recordings can be played back on all
playback devices with a video input (e.g. a TV and monitor).
Operate the board camera with a protective housing (not included) and on 12 V/DC only. Avoid contact with
moisture at all costs!
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the
product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition, improper
use can cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and
keep them. Make this product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information.
If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in this
manual, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property.
Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
a) Persons / Product
• The product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous
playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity,
moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from
any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage
the product.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are connected
to the product.
• Install the board camera in a suitable housing before use.
• Do not install the camera near strong magnetic or electric fields, e.g. mobile telephones, radio
devices, electric motors, etc.
• Operate the board camera with a stabilized DC voltage power adaptor or an appropriate
battery. The power supply must supply sufficient current.
• After extreme temperature changes, the device requires 15 minutes to stabilize and adapt to
the new ambient temperature, before it can be used.
• When connecting the camera, make sure the connection cable cannot be damaged by sharp
edges.
• For installations in industrial facilities, follow the accident prevention regulations for electrical
systems and equipment of the government safety organization or the corresponding authority
for your country.
• If you use a power adaptor as a power supply, follow all applicable safety regulations at all
costs. Car chargers and power adaptors for toys are not suitable for use as a power supply and,
when used, result in damage to components or device malfunction.
• In industrial facilities, heed all applicable accident prevention regulations for electrical
installations and equipment.
b) Miscellaneous
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a
qualified shop.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our
technical support service or other technical personnel.
Operation
Use a 12 V/DC power supply to operate the board camera. Do not use any other power
supply under any circumstances. The power supply must supply an output current of
100 mA. Avoid overloading the power supply at all costs.

If you use a power adaptor as power supply, connect it to the product first and then plug
it into a power outlet.
Heed correct polarity when connecting. Failure to do so may result in damage to
components of the board camera.
a) Camera connections
All cables are pre-installed during delivery. We recommend not to disconnect any plugs.
b) Connection to an IR LED module (optional)
The free plug marked with a sticker labeled LED is intended for connection to an IR LED module (not
included).
c) Video connection
Connect the yellow BNC plug of the connection cable to the video input of your TV or monitor.
Use a suitable optional BNC connection cable (polarity: video inlying, ground outlying).
Only use sufficiently shielded BNC connection cables. Unsuitable cables may result in
malfunction.
The cable length should be kept as short as possible.
d) Power connection
Connect the black socket of the connection cable to a suitable power adaptor. The DC low-voltage plug must
have the following features:
• Dimensions: exterior 5.5 mm, interior 2.1 mm.
• Polarity: inlying positive terminal (+), outlying negative terminal (-).
Maintenance and cleaning
• The board camera requires no maintenance except occasionally cleaning the lens.
• Use a clean, lint-free, anti-static, dry cloth to clean the lens.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as they
can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
