What is infrared (IR)?
The sun is a huge source of energy. This energy is being transported to earth with electromagne c
waves. These waves are divided into different wavelengths. Each wavelength transports a certain
quan ty of energy. The higher the speed of the waves, the shorter the wavelength and thus more
energy that can transport such radia on.
The higher the frequency, the shorter the wavelength, and thus more energy.
The higher the temperature of the infrared source (IR heater), the shorter the wavelength, the deeper
