1. The heating surfaces and some parts of the device become very hot during operation. Let the device cool down
completely before you clean it or store it away.
2. Make sure that the power cord does not come into contact with any of the device's hot surfaces.
3. Only use heat-resistant plastic or wooden utensils to put food on or to remove waffles from the waffle iron in
order to avoid damages to the non-stick coating of the heating surfaces. Make sure that the utensils do not
have any pointy or sharp edges.

1. Remove all packaging material.
2. Check the delivery contents for completeness and possible shipping damages. Should shipping damages be
found or the delivery contents not be complete, then contact your authorised dealer.
3. Keep the original packaging. You can use it for shipping or for storing the device. Dispose of packaging
material that is no longer required in an environmentally friendly way and in accordance with the applicable
regulations. Keep it away from children.
4. Unwind the power cord (6) completely and connect the power plug to a suitable power outlet. Make sure to
check for the correct connected load.
5. Heat up the device two or three times without food in it in order to remove manufacturing residues. Leave the
device on each heat cycle for approx. 2-3 minutes, during which time odours and smoke could be emitted. This
is no reason to worry but make sure that there is sufficient ventilation in the room.
6. Clean the device after it has cooled down completely as described in Cleaning and Maintenance.

1. Prepare the waffle batter. Use waffle batter recipes from cookbooks or use a baking mixture.
2. Place the device on a dry, firm, non-slip surface.
3. Lightly oil the heating surfaces (4) prior to use. The heating surfaces should be lightly coated with grease or
cooking oil.
4. W W hen using the device for the first time, do not eat the firs t couple of waffles made.
