Positionieren Sie das Ventil zwischen die Rohrleitung
und montieren Sie die Absperrklappe an den Flanschen
mit den erforderlichen Flanschschrauben.
Versuchen Sie nicht die Absperrklappe in geschlossenem
Zustand zu montieren. Beim Einbau der Klappe drücken
die Rohre gegen das Gummi, was sich im geschlossenen
Zustand um die Klappe legt.
Nach dem Einbau öff nen Sie die Klappe vollständig, um
die Öff nung zu zentrieren. Ziehen Sie die Schrauben zu-
nächst Handfest. Schließen Sie nun langsam die Klappe
um zu schauen das dies reibungslos geschieht. Ziehen
Sie dann alle Schrauben auf das richtige

ren, die sich nicht zentriert gegenüber liegen. Dies könnte
sonst die Dichtkante der Klappe beschädigen.

Position the valve between pipework fl anges and assemble
the valve housing to the fl anges, using all required fl ange
bolts. DO NOT USE ANY TYPE OF FLANGE
GASKETS. The O-ring sealing section of the butterfl y valve
seat provides a positive seal to all popular fl anges.
Incorrect
DO NOT try to install the valve with the disc fully closed. Re-
move actuator if necessary, to allow slight opening of disc.
Installation with disc fully closed will cause seat distortion
because of seat rubber trying to close around disc edge (as
shown). This installation will cause excessive torque in initial
operation.
Correct
Turn the valve disc to the full open position. Center the valve
housing in the fl anges, and hand-tighten bolts. Slowly close
the valve to check for clearance between valve disc and pipe
or Flange I.D. If valve disc hits, reposition valve as necessary.
Reopen valve disc to full open position and cross tighten all
bolts to proper torque
specifi cation.
Incorrect
DO NOT misalign valve housing or pipework (as shown).
Misalignment may cause interference between disc edge and
fl ange face. This will result in leakage, excessive torque and
possible damage to disc and seat. Operation of valve in
misaligned fl anges may also create a pocket where fl owing
media may come entrapped.
