The waterproofing sheets must be pressed together using a maximum torque of 6 - 12 Nm (see table). The torques of 6 - 12 Nm must be checked after 24 hours. Roof wa-
terproofing must be installed according to DIN 18531-3. Waterproofing sheets from a thickness of 1.2 mm can be used, depending on the material.
For installation with hot bitumen, a temperature of max. 400°C is permitted briefly (approx. 1-2 min.) in the area of the pressure seal flange.
At 220°C, the temperature resistance of the KESSEL roof drain body and the gravel trap is so high that laying the hot bitumen sheet is not a
problem. Ecoguss roof drains have a maximum load capacity of 80 kg.
Note:
The enclosed seal must be inserted as shown in the figure. The seal is not used
on inverted roofs!
The seal is inserted if water flow is unwanted in this sealing level.
