Function displays
The six LEDs on the front panel of the valve coupler display the present channel or
valve coupler status. The following table shows the LED functions:

Note: The light intensity is low for reasons of power saving.
Fault elimination, repair
No changes must be made on devices to be operated in certified hazardous areas.
Repairs to the device must only be carried out by specially trained Pepperl+Fuchs
technicians.
Function monitoring
The valve control outputs of the valve coupler can also be checked for correct
functioning without connected valves by simulating the valve by a 3 kΩ resistor. In de-
activated state a voltage of approx. 0. 3V and in activated state a voltage of approx.
3 V can be measured via this resistor. It is not possible to connect a voltmeter directly
to the open terminals of the valve output because then a voltage of 6 .8V ... 7.4V is
measured independently of the state.
