Hosing
HWA 600 has been fitted with three connection nozzles for pipe attachment to the bottom outlets.
Hoses with 38 mm can be connected or hoses with 50 mm with the corresponding adapters.
The HEYLO side channel blowers can be used with common dry air hoses in 38 mm or 50 mm
diameter. HEYLO offers the corresponding hose packages, including hose distributor, bottom outlet
and hose clamps as original equipment.
In case of complete drying, the hoses have to be connected by means of hose clamps to the units,
connecting pieces and distributors.
Leakages in the hoses or on the connections lead to loss of performance and possibly to inadvertent
water outlets. Therefore check the tightness of hose connections when putting the unit into operation.
When connecting several strands, the hoses should ideally have similar lengths for the purpose of
even pressure distribution. The air flow within the hoses should not exceed 25 m/s, because otherwise
this might cause disturbing noises.
The hoses required for drying have to be connected to the HWA before start-up. Connection nozzles
not required have to be closed with dummy caps. Hose clamps are not absolutely necessary for
vacuum drying, however tightness of the hoses is imperative. Leakiness causes disturbing hissing
noises and reduce the performance.
Four adapters for 38 mm hoses as well as two dummy caps have been included to the unit:
The sewage connection
The sewage connection is at the front side of the water separator, to which the water hose can be
connected. The collected water can be removed from the water separator through this hose. The
wastewater hose must end a maximum of 6 metres over the water separator as otherwise the pump
fitted cannot remove the water volume occurring. Extinguishing water and/or contaminated water must
be collected in a suitable water container (Cubitrainer), and has to be disposed of by a specialised
company.
Low pressure drying
In case of low pressure drying, dry room air is sucked via the edge joint strip and/or the boreholes
through the insulation layer. Free water contained in the insulation material is sucked together with the
air. The HEYLO water separator prevents dirt particles and water from entering the side channel
blower. In case of upstream water separators, the power supply of the side channel blower takes place
by the water separator. Once the water separator pumps off the sucked water, the power to the side
channel blower is cut off. After pumping off, the side channel blower is supplied with electricity again
start up automatically again.
In case of low pressure drying, the sucked air contains moisture and should, if possible, be guided
outside rather than back into the building. If it has to be reckoned with building contaminants sucked
into the air, such as old "KMF" or mould spores, a filter stage should always be used.
