USB connection

Via the USB connection it is possible to play back
audio, video and image files. You can also connect
a USB storage device and record on it. For more
about recording, see the chapter on "PVR Function".
This device has been developed using state-of-the-
art technical developments in the USB field.
Unfortunately, due to the huge variety of different
data carriers, which are available today, it is not pos-
sible to ensure full compatibility with any data car-
rier. For this reason there may in exceptional cases
be problems with playing back USB storage media.
Which is not considered a malfunction of the
device.
Insert a USB storage device into the appropriate
socket.
In the "MULTIMEDIA" main menu select between
the options:
• My album
• My music
• My movie
• My recorder (see "Recording menu")
Only the selected file types are displayed.
Press "OK". A new window is opened.
Select the file that you want to play/display using
the "M CH-", "L CH+" and "
" VOL-" arrow buttons.
Press "OK".
Please note the messages at the bottom edge of the
screen for further instructions. The coloured buttons
on the remote control correspond to those on the
screen.
When playing music: The symbol in the yellow
circle shows the function which is activated the
next time the "yellow" button is pressed.
If you have selected a directory, if available,
use the arrow buttons to select the "Root"
folder and press the "OK" to return to the next
higher-ranking directory.
Take size into consideration when saving your
image files, as pictures that are too large may
be displayed either very slowly or not at all. At
best, the size of the pictures equals the size of
the picture format of the reproducer. Usually,
this size of TVs is 1024x576 pixels (aspect ratio
16:9) or 768x576 (aspect ratio 4:3).
Please note that any conversion usually leads to
information loss with regard to the original format.

Recording menu

If you have chosen the "My Recorder" option, you
will see the recording menu. You can choose from
these options:
Only FAT 32 formatted USB storage devices
with adequate speed are supported.
• Recorded List
This displays all the shows recorded onto the
connected USB storage device.
• Recording Device
Here you can display the free, used and total
storage capacity of the connected USB storage
device. You can also format the device. You can
choose to format the entire storage device or just
selected partitions.
Please note that formatting completely erases
all data on the storage device. Back up your
data, if necessary.
• Recording Preference
In this menu you can select various settings for
recording.
One Button Recording:
Off: After pressing the "● REC" button, you can
adjust the recording period.
On: Pressing the "● REC" button starts recording
VOL+",
immediately. The recording period set under
"Default Record Period" will be used.
Default Record Period:
Here set the desired recording period for the
activated One Button Recording.

PVR Function

You can record shows to a connected USB storage
device. To do this, while watching a show, press the
"● REC" button.
During PVR recording, it is impossible to
change the programme location. You will be
shown a confirmation prompt.
If you want to stop recording early, press the
"STOP" button.
Confirm the prompt with the "OK" button.

Time Shift playback

Time Shift playback of a recording will be activated
automatically if you press the "PAUSE II" button.
Press the "PAUSE II" button again to resume playing
where you left off.
To use the Time Shift function without any
jerks, the connected storage device must be
faster than the recording itself.
