Commissioning

Insert the mains plug of the receiver in a regula-
tion power socket with PE for 230 V, 50 Hz.
Press the power switch "ON/OFF" on the front
side of the device.
Insert the connected devices' mains plug into the
mains socket and switch these on.
Switch on the AV channel on the TV set,
if necessary.
Please refer to your TV set's operating instruc-
tions for information on how to switch the "AV"
channel on.

Initial Installation

Before you can use the receiver, some basic settings
are required. The first time the device is switched on
the start window of the installation assistant appears.
With the help of the installation menu you can easily
make the most important adjustments to the
receiver.
Use the "M CH-" or "L CH+" arrow keys to select
the desired option. Select by using the
" VOL+" or "
"General Setting" menu (language settings)
In the "General Setting" menu, select the desired
OSD language, audio language, subtitle language
and time zone or auto time zone.
The "Time Zone" option can only be set if
"OFF" has been chosen in the "Auto Time
Zone" option.
Press the "EXIT" button to return to the previous
menu.
"My Dish" menu (antenna configuration)
The receiver is delivered from the factory with the
following standard settings (good for most use):
• Satellite positions Astra 1E, 1F, 1G (19.2° East)
• Universal LNB (single system)
If you want to use the standard settings, choose
option "ASTRA 1E, 1F, 1G" so that you can start
the search. Now the blue button appears on the
screen.
Press the blue button to bring up the Scan Mode
menu.
If the standard settings don't work with your
receiver system, change the settings as shown
on page 41 under "Changing the satellite
settings".
In the Scan Mode menu, choose the desired
search mode. "Standard" is for a fast transponder
search, and "Blind Detail" is for a frequency
search.

In "Programme", you choose whether to search
for all channels (All) or only free channels (Free
Only).
Press the "OK" button to start the search. This
process can last several minutes.
As soon as the Installation assistant has finished
the search run (100%), the device switches to TV
mode.

Switching on and off

In order to switch the device on or off, press the
"ON/OFF" power switch on the device.
In order to switch between standby and operatio-
nal mode, press the „STANDBY " button on the
remote control.

Carrying out basic settings

Navigating in menus and sub-menus

In order to switch between the menu options,
VOL-, M CH-, L CH+"
press the " VOL+,
buttons on the remote control.
To confirm the selected menu option, press the
"OK" key.
The settings for this menu option are displayed.
To move from one setting to the next, press the
"M CH-" and "L CH+" arrow keys.
The selected setting is marked.
By pressing the OK key you jump to the settings
menu.
You may:
- switch between the options with the "
M CH-, L CH+,
VOL+ " arrow keys.
- use the numerical keys to enter numbers if the
setting requires a numerical input.
Press the EXIT key to change back to the last
menu level.
In order to exit the main menu, press the "EXIT"
button repeatedly.
The on-screen menu is closed and the screen is
switched to TV or radio mode.
The system settings must be adjusted to enable you
to use the receiver's full range of functions (see the
following Chapter).
Press the "MENU" key on the remote control.
