If an error occurs, check the table below first, before you contact your dealer or send
in the device. The address and hotline number can be found on the warranty card. Do
not open the device and do not try to repair it yourself. You will lose the warranty claim
and it is dangerous! Refer to the warranty conditions on the following pages.

Possible cause

Problem: No sound.
The volume is set too low.
No batteries in the battery
compartment.
Note for mains operation: The plug
is not plugged in correctly.
Problem: The display is blank; no reaction to pressing buttons.
Electrostatic discharge.
The buttons are locked.
Problem: Disturbances when playing radio.
The station is not properly tuned.
Telescopic antenna is not pulled out.
The device is positioned in a location
with poor reception.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Solution
Set the volume higher.
Insert 3 batteries of the type AA/UM-3.
Plug in.
Switch off device and pull the plug. Wait
briefly and plug in again.
Unlock the buttons with the switch
LOCK (14).
Tune the station again.
Pull the antenna fully out.
Find the optimum position for the device.
