Connecting

Familiarise yourself with the controls on the front of the amplifier now.

Volume Πcontrols the loudness of the sound produced; always make sure this is set to zero
before switching the amplifier on, by turning it anti-clockwise as far it will go. Sub  controls
the volume sent to the subwoofer, relative to the Volume control. Attitude Ž controls the ratio
of bass to treble, giving a smooth transition from a bass-rich sound to a clear, treble sound.
Set Sub and Attitude to their neutral positions, as shown in the diagram.
To connect the satellites, use the colour coding on the cables to match up the amplifier and
the satellite sockets. For example, the orange cable goes from the High range + socket on the
back of the amplifier, to the High range + socket on the back of the satellite.
