STUDIO MICROPHONE
Professional condenser microphone
The VM-2100 PRO was designed for professional studio recording and live performances. The
microphone operates on the included power supply unit.

Safety Instructions
Maintenance and service operations are only to be carried out by authorized dealers. Damage,
caused by manual modifications on these devices are not subject to warranty. If the microphone or the
power supply unit is used for other purposes than originally intended or if it is not correctly
connected, the products may suffer damages and the guarantee becomes void.
Protect the devices against humidity and heat. The ambient temperature must always be between
-5° C and +45° C. The relative humidity must not exceed 50 % with an ambient temperature of 45° C.
The microphone must be powered by the included power supply unit. Caution! This unit
requires hazardous mains voltage. Be careful with your operations. The power supply unit is
allowed to be operated with an alternating current of 115 V or 230 V AC, 50 Hz and was designed for
indoor use only. This device falls under protection-class I. The power plug must only be
plugged into a protection class I outlet. The voltage and frequency must exactly be the same as
stated on the device. Wrong voltages or power outlets can lead to the destruction of the device and
to mortal electrical shock.
Setting into Operation
Screw the shock mount on your microphone stand and insert the VM-2100 PRO from above.
Connect the VM-2100 PRO to the MIC IN jack of the power supply unit with the supplied 7-pin XLR
cable.
Connect the OUTPUT jack of the power supply unit to the XLR microphone input of your audio unit
(e.g. mixing console) using a balanced microphone cable with 3-pin XLR plug.
Plug the supplied power cord into the AC IN jack of the power supply unit. Make sure the
voltage selector is properly set! Connect the power plug to the mains.
Turn on the device via the power switch.
Determine the polar pattern via the selector: omnidirectional, cardioid, figure 8, or one of six
intermediate stages. Experiment with all these choices to fully utilize the versatility the VM-2100 PRO
can offer for various applications.
For voice recordings, always use the supplied windshield to protect the capsule from moisture.
Cleaning and Maintenance
For cleaning the microphone and the power supply unit only use a soft lint-free and moistened
cloth. Make sure not to allow any water to enter the devices and never use any solvent cleansers.
