4.2 Moisture and Humidity

Moisture and humidity or a tropical climate are to be avoided. When the
connection cable is properly connected to the force washer and charge
amplifier, the CLP force washer has degree of protection IP65 as per DIN EN
60529.
The housing of the transducer is completely made of stainless steel. The
transducer must be protected against chemicals that could attack the
transducer body steel or the cable.
With stainless steel force transducers, please note that acids and all materials
which release ions will also attack stainless steels and their welded seams.
Should there be any corrosion, this could cause the force transducer to fail. In
this case, appropriate protective measures must be implemented.

4.3 Deposits

Dust, dirt and other foreign matter must not be allowed to accumulate
sufficiently to divert any of the measuring force, thus invalidating the
measured value (force shunt).
