TD58 and TD66
Fig. 2
Valve connection
The Clorius TD58 and TD66 controllers are pro-
vided with a 1" union nut and may be mounted
on all Clorius valves up to 80 mm.
Mounting of TD
The TD controller may be mounted either in the
flow main or the return main dependent upon the
function required. See leaflet 3.9.01.
TD58 is always to be mounted vertically
below the valve.
TD66 is to be mounted vertically above or
below the valve.
After mounting both the system and the
TD controller are to be throughly vented. For
this purpose the TD controller is provided with
more venting screws both at the top and at the
bottom.
Isolating valves should be mounted at both
sides of the TD controller. The isolating valves
are to be mounted in such a manner that the
diaphragm of the TD controller are not being
overloaded when the isolating valve is closed.
See fig. 2.
Mounting of capillaries
The capillaries have 1/4" nipples and union nuts.
It is recommended to mount needle valves as
isolating valves at the connection point for
flow and return pipes. The capillaries are to be
connected in such a manner that the highest
TD

pressure (forward flow) is always connected to
the diaphragm side where the differential pres-
sure adjustment is made. The lowest pressure
(return) is always to be connected to the dia-
phragm side closest to the valve. See fig. 2.
To prevent air bubbles and dirt from the system
from entering the capillaries they should always
be fitted horizontally in flow and return pipes.
See fig. 3.
Setting of differential pressure
The TD58 is a weight-loaded controller.
Set the differential pressure desired according to
the below table 1. For distance A, see fig. 1a.
Distance A mm
86
Differential pressure mWG:
1 weight
0.55
2 weights
No weight: 0.25 mWG
Important! Never load the weight arm beyond
the above values.
The TD66 controller has a dial for min. and max.
differential pressure. The setting is made by
turning the lever, the top rim of which functions
as pointer on the dial.
