6 Maintenance and cleaning

1 Close the compressed air valve.
2 Switch off the power supply.
NOTE
• To prevent an inadvertent ignition of the pilot arc, make sure that the
switch-on protection at the handle is working perfectly.
DANGER
Risk of injury due to unexpected start-up.
For the entire duration of maintenance, servicing, dismounting and repair
work, the following instructions must be adhered to:
• Switch off the power supply and cut off the gas supply.
• Pull the mains plug.
1 Unscrew the cable assembly on the machine side and bring it into a
stretched position.
2 Check connections for tight fit and wear parts for visible damage and
replace them, if necessary.
3 Check wearing parts on the torch neck for visible damage and replace
them, if required. The electrode must be replaced when the penetration is
deeper than 1.5 mm.
4 Clean the cutting torch body regularly to remove cutting spatter.
5 Check the torch contact pins for their elastic function and clean the contact
area of the protective cap and/or replace the torch contacts, if necessary.
