Setting
Standard setting
1. Position sensor and reflector at desired distance.
2. Set the potentiometer for the maximum sensitivity
(longest range).
3. Determine the on­ and off switching point of the output
(yellow LED): Move the sensor in all directions so that
the yellow LED on the normally open version turns on
and off again, or off to on for the normally closed
version.
4. Install the sensor in the center of the determined
switching points.
Fine adjustment for detecting very small objects
1. First perform the standard setting (see above).
2. Then turn the potentiometer counter­clockwise until the
yellow LED comes on (normally open version) or goes
off (normally closed version). The reflector will no longer
be detected.
3. Now turn the potentiometer slowly clockwise until the
yellow LED goes out (normally open version) or comes
on (normally closed version). The reflector will be
detected again. Now even very small objects can be
detected.
