14.2 Nomarski DIC transmitted light

The observation in Nomarski DIC in transmitted light
requires the kit consisting of the following accessori-
es: Universal condenser ① (containing the dedica-
ted DIC prisms according to the objectives in use),

1. Using the knob Ⓘ, insert the polarizer Ⓚ embed-
ded in the condenser and loosen the polarizer ro-
tation fixing screw Ⓖ. (Fig. 67)
2. Remove the dummy slider from the nosepiece
and insert the analyzer into the dummy slider,
then insert the ④ assembly into the slot ⑤. (Fig.
