To increase driving safety and improve
control comfort, the Infotainment System
can be conveniently operated via the
steering wheel buttons.
Depending on the vehicle type, two
different types of steering wheel remote
controls are installed.
The steering wheel remote control has
other functions in conjunction with the

Steering wheel 1:
j / k buttons 1 and 2
Cursor buttons
Press j or k to move the cursor to the
left or right or up and down in menus.
The j / k buttons have the same
functions as turning the click dial, see
page 85.
Z button 3
Selection button
Press the Z button to confirm the
selection.
The Z button has the same function as
pressing the click dial, see page 85.
+ / - buttons 5 and 6
Volume control
Press the + buttons briefly once or
several times to gradually increase the
volume.
Press the - buttons briefly once or
several times to gradually reduce the
volume.
If the button is pressed for longer, the
volume changes continuously.
O button 4
Switching functions
Tap the O button to switch between
the Radio and CD/MP3 mode.
Steering wheel 2:
Å thumbwheel 1
Menu navigation
Turn the thumbwheel up/down to
move the cursor up/down in the menus.
Press the thumbwheel to confirm a
menu item.
} button 2
Radio:
Next station memory
Press the } button to recall the next
stored station 0 ... 9 in the selected
waveband.
CD:
CD restart
Press the } button to start playing
the inserted audio CD from the
beginning.
MP3:
Next MP3 album
Press the } button to change to the
next album (directory) of the inserted
MP3 CD.
