Charger and battery
Observe the general power tool safety warnings – Battery tool use and care in Chapter 1 [4].
Do not expose the charger to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a charger will increase the
risk of electric shock.
The unit is only suitable for indoor use (inside rooms).

The 18.0 V charger is intended for charging lithium-ion batteries of the following type: 18.0 V (5.0 Ah) battery
pack.
How to ensure a long battery life and store batteries correctly
WARNING

Never charge batteries at temperatures below 0°C or above 50°C.

Do not charge batteries in environments with high levels of humidity or high ambient
temperatures.

Do not cover the batteries or charger during the charging operation.

Unplug the charger from the power outlet once charging has commenced.
The battery is only to be stored in dry environments that are protected against dust. If
-
batteries are not going to be used for some time, they should be stored somewhere cool
in a partially charged state.
The battery and charger heat up during charging. This is normal.
Lithium-ion batteries do not suffer from the memory effect. Nevertheless, a battery should be completely
discharged before charging and the charging process should always be fully completed.
