TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem
The unit cannot be
switched on or no
sound can be heard.
The unit can be turned
on but no sound is
heard.
The sound comes from
one channel only.
No sound is heard
from some zones.
The instrument sound
is reversed for stereo
playback.
The unit does not
work properly with the
remote control.
Possible cause
The power cord is damaged or
the power plug is not plugged
into the socket.
No speakers connected.
The unit is muted or the volume is
set to the minimum
The connecting plugs were not
inserted correctly.
The connecting plugs were not
inserted correctly.
In some zones, the volume setting
is at minimum.
Incorrect speaker polarity or
incorrect input polarity.
The battery is dead.
Batteries were inserted the wrong
way round.
The remote control is too far
away from the unit.
There is an obstruction between
the unit and the remote control.
The wrong button has been used.
Solution approach
Check the power cord for damage
or insert the power plug into the
power outlet.
Connect to the speaker cord.
Press the MUTE button or adjust
the volume.
Insert the connector plugs
correctly.
Insert the connector plugs
correctly.
Adjust the volume setting of
some zones.
Make sure that the + and -
connections are made correctly.
Replace the batteries.
Make sure the batteries are
inserted correctly.
Move the remote control closer
to the unit.
Remove the obstruction.
Use the correct button.
