Assembly
1. If necessary, attach the sharpening head to the motor unit. Make sure the
unit is not connected to the power mains.
2. Place the motor unit on a table or workbench and align the drive plate (see
page IV).
3. Attach the sharpening head to the motor unit. The nose on the sharpening
head must engage with the notch on the motor unit. Do not mount the
sharpening head with the nose in the airspace of the tightening screw.
4. Push the sharpening head into the motor unit all the way. If this is not
possible, the driveshaft did not engage with the stone properly. In this
case lift the head off again and realign the shaft and the stone.
Operation
1. Place the unit on a flat, level, stable surface and plug the power plug into a
suitable socket.
2. Use the switch (4) to turn the unit on and allow it to run for a few moments.
Make sure it operates normally. Do not start sharpening before the unit
has reached its operating speed.
3. Insert the drill to be sharpened into the positioning hole of corresponding
dimensions. Apply light pressure and repeatedly rotate for several times,
after withdrawal rotate by 180° and re-insert into the positioning hole.
Repeat the procedure until the drill is satisfyingly sharp.
4. After operating the motor for maximum 10 minutes, allow the unit to cool
down for 15 minutes. Additionally unplug the plug from power mains.
