1. Introduction

Congratulations on purchasing the DSP amplifier from Fohhn Audio.
Nowadays, musician, entertainer DJ or sound technician - require
a reliable sound system that can be set up in no time at all.
Setup, plug in and let the show begin! The system must produce
good-quality sound immediately, whether it be background music,
a presentation, tannoy announcements or loud music in a party
atmosphere. The demand for good sound quality and versatility has
increased significantly here.
With these high demands in mind, we have developed and
consistently implemented the digital DSP-amplifier to help run your
events or installation with as little effort as possible.
Read the instructions carefully before using the equipment to
ensure that your Fohhn system performs to its full capacity and
operates perfectly.
The new versatile features of Fohhn Fusion DSPs offer you many
convenient options for daily operation. Read the instructions
carefully before operating your system so that your Fohhn speaker
system can demonstrate its ability to the full and guarantee you
trouble-free operation. Please store this manual carefully.
2. Safety and envronment

2.1 Safety information

1. This device has been manufactured and tested in accordance
with the German VDE safety guidelines for electronic
equipment. It has left the factory in perfectly safe condition.
In order to maintain safety and avoid risks of damage or injury,
take the usual precautions and follow all safety instructions in
the manual.
2. This device conforms to the German Class 1 safety standards.
When properly installed, all exposed metal parts are
permanently connected to safety ground. For safety reasons,
connect the equipment to a standard three-pin outlet
with protective ground only. Never open the safety ground
connection.
3. This device conforms to the EMC legislation currently in force
as certified by the CE mark on the device.
4. This device contains no user serviceable parts. To reduce the
risk of fire or electric shock, do not open the device and refer
servicing to qualified personnel.
5. Make sure to dispose of used batteries conforming to local
waste disposal rules. Never throw batteries into the fire (risk
of explosion).

2.2 Potential Risks

If the equipment

is visibly damaged;
•
contains loose parts;
•
does not operate correctly;
•
has been stored under adverse conditions (e.g., outdoors or in
a damp room) for extended periods of time; or
•
was exposed to high transportation stress (e.g., due to
inadequate packaging),
operating the equipment may be unsafe. Switch power to the
equipment off and mark the equipment.
Make sure the equipment cannot be connected to power or switched
on unintentionally by third persons.

2.3 Environment

When you dispose of the unit, separate the housing, electronic
circuit and cables and dispose of all components as per applicable
disposal regulations.

3. Unpacking

Your DSP amplifier comprises the following components:
1.
1x Dsp-amplifier D-2.750 or D-2.1500
2. 1x IEC-cable with Powercon connector
Please check that the package contains all components of the
system you ordered. If anything is missing, please contact your
Fohhn dealer immediately.

4. Cleaning

4.1 Housing cleaning

You can clean the amplifier with a moistened cloth.
Make sure that liquid will not penetrate into the case.

4.2 Cleaning the ventilator filter foam

Clean the filter foam regularly (blow out) to guarantee long-term
trouble-free amplifier operation. You can easily identify from the
outside whether the filter is dirty by looking through the cooler
slots. The amount of dirt will depend largely on the environment in
which the amplifier is used. The cleaning procedure is as follows:
1. Unscrew the 3 black M3 screws on the decorative aluminium
cover using a suitable 2 mm Allen key
2. Remove the decorative cover. The filter foam that requires
cleaning is located on the back of the aluminium front cover
behind the cooler slots
3. Replace the cleaned filter foam back in the recess and screw
the decorative cover back onto the amplifier housing.
