helmets. When the volume is too high, this can be perceived as disturbing.
Tip: For mobile phone use via Boom!Box™, you should adjust the mobile
phone volume on the Boom!Box™ (and on mobile phone) as high as
possible and reduce it accordingly on the helmet.
Excessive volume can damage your ears!
Adjustment of the microphone sensitivity
For this, the motorbike intercom should already be set correctly. For more
details, please see the operating instructions of the respective motorcycle
intercom.
Depending on the system, the trasmission quality and the speed limit for a
voice connection via bluetooth is always lower than the cable connection.
In addition, the microphone signal may be louder or softer depending on
the built-in helmet bluetooth component.
For voice-operated systems (VOX) you can adjust the microphone sensitivi-
ty additionally to the Bluetooth Helmet Connector. Trimmer (4) for maxi-
mum sensivity turn completely to the right, for lowest noise turn completely
to the left.
Please note: Test while driving, but adjustment only while standing!
Quality of Bluetooth transmission
Duplex (HFP): Communication in the driver's helmet with optimal settings: Up
to 160 KM/h - good. A poorer speech understanding may occur especially in
the pillion's helmet if helmet type is loud and while driving at high speed. Due
to the delay in the Bluetooth transmission in intercoms with a sidetone a slightly
reverberant sound arises, but this does not affect understanding of speech.

Possible malfunctions

Voice connection only in one direction:
The Stereo mode is activated, push shortly the Bluetooth-operating-
button for switching to Duplex mode.
The connection to the helmet gets lost when starting the engine:
If starting the engine with a low battery and the on-board power breaks
down on impulse below 9V, the electronic might turn off and on several
times, or e.g. switch between duplex and stereo mode! In this case start
the helmet-intercom-system with an additional switch, after starting the
engine. Please note: Regarding some modern motorcycles , the light is
