Caution:

Do not look into the beam!

Protect yourself and your environment from
accidents by taking the appropriate precautionary
measures.
Do not look directly into the laser beam with the
naked eye.
Never look directly into the laser path.
Never direct the laser beam at reflecting surfaces,
persons or animals. Even a low output laser beam
can inflict injury on the eye.
Caution: It is vital to follow the work procedures
described in these instructions. Using the tool in
any other way may result in hazardous exposure
to laser radiation.
Never open laser module.
When the tool is not going to be used for an
extended period of time, the batteries should be
removed.
3. Application
The cross line laser is designed for determining and
checking horizontal and vertical lines.

4. Starting up
Inserting and changing batteries (Fig. 3)
Important! Always make sure that the laser is
switched off before you insert the batteries!
Open the battery compartment cover (4) as shown in
Fig. 3 and insert the batteries supplied. Check that
the battery terminals are positioned correctly.
Use only alkaline-manganese batteries. Do not mix
batteries from different manufacturers. Use batteries
with the same capacity.
Switching on: Move the ON/OFF switch (1) to the
ON position. Caution! The device emits a laser
beam as soon as it is switched on.
Switching off: Move the ON/OFF switch (1) to the
OFF position. This switches the device off and locks
the laser unit.
Operation with automatic level monitor
Within the self-leveling range the device
automatically compensates for any deviations of
approx. ±4°.
Leveling has been completed when the laser line
stops moving. Outside the automatic leveling range a
warning signal is sounded and the laser is switched
off. In this case you should align the device
horizontally and wait for the self-leveling function.
Cross line mode (Fig. 4)
Stand the device on a firm, horizontal surface or fix it
to a tripod. The device comes with a photographic
tripod thread (5) to enable it to be fixed to a tripod.
Then switch on the device. The laser is now in cross
line mode with level monitoring and produces vertical
and horizontal lines.
Horizontal line mode (Fig. 5)
Once you have switched on the device, press the
multifunctional button (2) again. The laser is now in
horizontal line mode with level monitoring and
produces a horizontal line.
Vertical line mode (Fig. 6)
Once you have switched on the device, press the
multifunctional button (2) twice and the laser
switches to vertical line mode and produces a
vertical line with level monitoring.
