2. Description/operation

Your LASERLUCHS® LED IR-Illuminator is equipped with a
high-power LED of the latest generation. This enables you to
obtain an outstanding image on your night vision scope even
when there are conditions of complete darkness and even
when the distances involved are considerable.
The range which can be obtained using the LASERLUCHS® LED
IR-Illuminator depends on the following factors:
• the photocathode sensitivity of the image intensifier tube
• the photosensitivity of the camera module
• the quality of the optical systems used
• focussing system of the LED IR-Illuminator
• the weather conditions (e.g. mist, rain or snow)
Depending on the Illuminators focussing system, there
may be small differences in brightness in the outside area
of the lustre cone. The technical principles involved result
in an optimum illumination of an object being achieved at
greater distances, while the round and uniform illumination
becomes slightly angular at smaller distances.
