4.8.1 Double-battery Compartment
WARNING

by the double-battery compartment. There is a risk of
serious injury to children.
► Remove the battery.
► Keep the double-battery compartment out of the reach
of children.
￭ Moisture may cause corrosion of the double-battery
compartment's electrical contacts. This may result in
damage to the double-battery compartment.
► Remove the battery.
► Keep the double-battery compartment clean and dry.

of the battery and can be seriously injured.
► Store the battery out of the reach of children.

Preparing the Double-battery Compartment for

Operation

The following steps must be performed before commencing
work:
► Check the battery, @ 8.1.
► Charge the battery fully as described in the instruction
manual for the STIHL AL 101, 300, 500 charger.
► Clean the double-battery compartment, @ 12.1.
► Make sure that the following components are in safe
condition:
– Double-battery compartment, @ 4.5.1.
– Battery, @ 4.5.2.
