screws, or other small metal objects that can make a
connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the
battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
 Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from
the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally oc-
curs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, addition-
ally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery
may cause irritations or burns.
 In case of damage and improper use of the battery, va-
pours may be emitted. Ventilate the area and seek
medical help in case of complaints. The vapours can irri-
tate the respiratory system.
 Recharge only with the charger specified by the manu-
facturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery
pack may create a risk of fire when used with another bat-
tery pack.
 Use the battery only together with your Bosch product.
This is the only way to protect the battery against danger-
ous overload.
 Use cordless worklight only with specifically designat-
ed battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may cre-
ate a risk of injury and fire.
 Use only original Bosch 14.4 V and 18 V lithium-ion bat-
teries. When using other batteries, e.g. imitations, recon-
ditioned batteries or other brands, there is danger of injury
as well as property damage through exploding batteries.
 The battery can be damaged by pointed objects such as
nails or screwdrivers or by force applied externally. An
internal short circuit can occur and the battery can burn,
smoke, explode or overheat.

limited space and for limited time in dry indoor and outdoor
areas and is not suitable for general room lighting.

Assembly
Battery Insertion/Removal (see figure A)
Inserting the battery
 Use only original Bosch lithium-ion batteries with the
voltage listed on the nameplate of your cordless work-
light. Using other batteries can lead to injuries and pose a
fire hazard.
Slide a charged battery 5 into the cordless worklight 1. Make
sure that you insert the battery in the right position and that
you feel the unlocking button 4 lock into the cordless work-
light 1.
Removing the battery
To remove the battery 5, press the battery unlocking button 4
and pull the battery toward the rear out of the cordless work-
light. Do not exert any force when doing this.
Operation

Initial Operation

The cordless worklight 1 also has an On/Off switch 2 and an
operation and charge-control indicator 3 which lights up
green as soon as a battery is inserted and the cordless work-
light is switched on. The indicator will light up red if the bat-
tery capacity is less than 25 %.
Switching On and Off
To start the cordless worklight, press the On/Off switch 2.
To save energy, only switch the cordless worklight on when
using it.
