The SMOCKEO application is there to warn you in advance of the sound alerts when the battery is approaching
its end of life.
If despite this you have not replaced the battery, your SMOCKEO detector will emit a BEEP every minute. You will
then have to immediately change the battery by proceeding as follows:
Remove the detector from its mounting bracket (counter-clockwise rotation).
Remove the used battery. Take it back to your distributor.
Warning: Caution the proper functioning of the detector is ensured by the use of the following batteries:
DURACELL MN1604, EVEREADY 522 or GP1604A, guaranteeing 5 years operation.
Ensure that the battery is properly plugged in and place it back inside the compartment. Attach the detector
on the mounting bracket by turning it clockwise until it is locked in position. Check the proper functioning of
SMOCKEO with a test (refer to the test procedure).We recommend that you change the ALCALINE battery once
every 5 years. Never use a rechargeable battery.
Your SMOCKEO detector has been designed to require as little maintenance as possible
However, a few simple operations are required once per year.
After removing the detector :
Clean the slits of the detector (situated on the sides) with a vacuum cleaner, using a soft brush or directly one of
its accessories. Use a moist cloth to clean the outside of the cover. It is recommended to replace this detector
after 10 years. If the detector is placed in a dirty location, it must be cleaned more often. The maintenance of
your detector is important to ensure your continued security; a dirty device might either go off randomly or go off too
late. In case of repeated unwarranted alarms, make sure that the installation location requirements are respected.
The sound alarm can be stopped by removing the battery, after having removed the detector from its mounting
bracket; Clean the detector, plug the battery back in and place the detector back on its bracket.
The SMOCKEO application is there to inform you in case of a functional failure (see alarm list in the general
presentation).
Processing of electrical and electronic devices in end of life. This symbol indicates
that this product is not to be processed with household waste. It must be issued to a
collection point appropriate for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment :
• In distribution points in the case of a purchase of equivalent equipment.
• In the collection points at your disposal locally (waste reception centre, rubbish
sorting, etc...)
